SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measurement equipment, in particular to methods of measuring the parameters of impact pulse, in particular the duration of impact, and can be used for measurement of interaction parameters at mechanical tests on various impact test stands, in exercise machines, in the study of impact interaction of the elements of sports equipment (such as a tennis racquet-ball). The method of measuring the duration of impact includes impact action on the target, followed by measuring the time of electrical contact between the colliding bodies. At that the colliding bodies with metallised parts on their surfaces are placed in the electrical open or optoelectronic circuit of pulsed high-frequency source, the number of pulses during the closed condition of circuit of pulsed high-frequency source is determined. Determining the duration of impact is carried out by formula: Timp=n×tpul where Timp is the duration of impact, n is the number of pulses during the closed condition of circuit of pulsed high-frequency source, tpul is a period of pulse of high-frequency source.
EFFECT: improving the accuracy of measurement of duration of impact and expansion of the range of kinds of interacting bodies.
