FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: preliminary volumetric hardening of steel rings is performed, which contains the following components, wt %: C 0.95-1.05, Si 0.15-0.3, Mn 0.15-0.3, Cr 0.35-0.5, Ni, Cu not more than 0.3, P, S not more than 0.3 and Fe with heating up to 830-870°C and exposure during not less than 1 hour and further cooling, and then induction hardening by heating surface layer of a ring with high-frequency current at total heating duration of 15-50 s up to 820-1050°C with further cooling during 4-10 seconds to the temperature of less than beginning temperature of martensitic conversion with further cooling during 30-60 seconds to the ambient temperature. Rolling bearing includes outer and inner rings with bearing races, and rolling bodies arranged between them; at that, a bearing race at least of one of the rings has surface layer with martensite material structure; material of the ring core has troostite structure.
EFFECT: high durability and reliability of bearing rings.
