FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: device includes two pistons 1 concentrically located in groove 2, rings 3 and 6 and an extender in the form of a set of spiral springs 17. Piston ring 3 interacts with inclined planes 13 of wedge-like projections 4 with inclined planes 15 of cavities 7 of additional ring 6 in left semi-circle 18 of sealing device so that resultant forces F are directed clockwise, and in right semi-circle 21 resultant forces F are directed counter-clockwise. During engine operation resultant forces F balance each other and the sealing device of piston does not rotate in piston cavity 2. Radial constituents of force R press ends 23 of piston ring 3 to mirror of cylinder 26. This will improve seating of rings to mirror of cylinder 26 and enhance tightness of cylinder 24. A new feature is that inclinations of side flat surfaces 13 and 15 interacting between each other and made in left semi-circle 18 are directed clockwise, and inclinations of interacting side flat surfaces 13 and 15 made in right semi-circle 21 are directed counter-clockwise. One pair of joints I is made in the area of locks of rings so that radial constituents of force R pass through ends of rings 23 at an angle of 10 degrees to transverse axis 22.
EFFECT: improving operating reliability of a sealing device of a piston and increasing service life.
