FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: piston ring 1 receives additional radial pressure from separate pre-compressed pairs of coil springs 6 mounted in matched pairs of parallel holes 7 formed in a piston 3 from its internal peripheral surface 8. End faces 9 of the coil springs 6 are supported by a closing ring 10, and opposite end faces 12 radially rest through movable washers 13 and ends 15 of U-wires 16 against the piston ring 1. A flexible part of a radial expander, namely coil springs 6 in the parallel holes 7 formed in the piston 3 from its internal peripheral surface 8 are placed so that to enable eliminating completely action of incandescent gas and high temperature of the piston 3 on flexible part of a radial expander.
EFFECT: higher reliability of an internal-combustion engine.
