FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises forming stereo images of 3D virtual objects to be superimposed on video image of actual airfield using the simulator on the basis of combined reality technologies. Said simulator comprises virtual reality helmet equipped with two micro displays and two video cameras, positioning systems including means to determine three linear and three angular coordinates of helmet position in space, and computer to generate pair of stereo images for micro displays of virtual reality helmet. Transducer of positioning system is arranged at virtual reality helmet.
EFFECT: efficient training of air traffic controllers.
