FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: insulator has a base which is made in form of an elliptical flange with openings for mounting to a support and is interfaced with a hollow conical insulating housing with bell-shaped edges, the top part of which is interfaced with a head having two protrusions which form an input and a central groove in form of a latch; the outer plane of the base adjacent to the support has a radius almost equal to the radius of the cross-section of a rounded support, and there are two lateral mounting pads on the surface of the base.
EFFECT: stable mounting of said insulator on both flat and rounded supports and high mechanical strength.
