SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in making electric signaling, electroshock and mechanical barriers. Barbed wire comprises a solid structure of a base and spikes and is made of a profile, obtained by rolling a steel strip from weather-resistant alloy steel to form two rectangular ribs and a diamond-shaped wire base in cross section, providing the possibility of its fixed fixation in insulators and in metal clamps on barrier supports. Two opposite blunt corners of the diamond-shaped base of the wire are rounded along the radius when rolling the profile, and two other opposite angles are cut during cutting of profile ribs with formation of pyramidal tenons symmetrically located on both sides of the base.

EFFECT: higher strength, weather resistance and electric contact properties of barbed wire.
