SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, particularly to the poultry industry. The method of activation water consumption by chickens from grooved drinking pans comprises attracting chickens by lighting the drinking pans and bubbling of water. To do this, the combination of factors that encourage curiosity of chickens to the moving elements of the environment is used, namely: air bubbles formed by the bubbling of water, illuminated by directional beam of red light in the wavelength range of 650-760 nm and visually accessible due to transparency of the front skirting of the drinking pan groove; virtually increased area of bubbling water and virtually multiplied amount of bubbles of water through their reflection by the mirror planes in which also chickens actively drinking water are seen.

EFFECT: embodiment of the invention provides the activation of water consumption by chickens from grooved drinking pans, provides rapid establishment of water balance in them and water-salt homeostasis of the chicken organism as a whole.
