SUBSTANCE: device of energetically power-saving intermittent illumination comprises located on the drinking water pipeline 2 of the poultry house 1 with the nipple drinkers 3, the LED lighting fixtures 4. The lighting fixtures 4 are mounted in every 6-8 m from each other on the level of location of the hanging water droplets on the rod of the nipple drinkers 3 at a distance of 0.05-0.1 m in the horizontal plane from the line of location of the drinkers 3 on the water pipeline 2. Each lighting fixture 4 is made in the form of construction of a quadruple LED mini-spotlight with the power of 0.5-2.0 W for lighting in four directions, back and forth along the line of drinking in narrow beams with the lighting angle of 5-10° in the horizontal plane and perpendicular to the drinking line to the left and right in wide beams with the lighting angle of 120-150° in the horizontal plane perpendicular to the arrangement of the lines of the feed-distributing. The invention also discloses the method of lighting in poultry farming, comprising the general lighting of all the facility of the poultry house during the maintenance of poultry and the equipment by the staff and twenty-four-hour local lighting of only feeders or only drinkers. The feeders and the drinkers are painted green on the technological feasibility. The green light is used for the local lighting the feeders and the drinkers simultaneously. The general lighting of the facility of the poultry house is carried out with the level of illumination of 2-6 lux. The local lighting is carried out in four directions simultaneously of the feeders and the drinkers with the varying level of lighting depending on the age of the poultry, the time of day and the time of passage of combined feed through the gut of the poultry.

EFFECT: invention provides the high rate of physiological development of chickens, reduction of energy consumption.
