FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises heating of small articles being displaced along furnace continuous and fire sections by worm mechanism. Note here that heating in fire section adjoining the article discharge zone is carried out by a set of minor torches with surface burning at worm mechanism case formed in interaction of gas flow fed parallel with mechanism case walls and airflow fed perpendicular to said walls. Note also that heating in continuous section adjoining article feed zone is performed by feeding high-speed combustion product flow formed in fire section on worm mechanism section.
EFFECT: higher power and fuel efficiency, and temperature difference.
