FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics and can be applied in operative treatment of purulent arthritis of ankle joint. After application of apparatus of external fixation and performing external access to ankle joint by intersection of external malleolus and displacement of skin-fascial flap with intersected external malleolus backwards, sparing necrosectomy, ablation of articular surfaces of talus, tibia and fibula is carried out. After that, on external surface of distal part of tibia and tallus and on internal surface of ankle formed is longitudinal slot, into which reinforced antibacterial cement implant, made from methylmethacrylate with double single dose of antibiotic, is installed by press-fit method. After installation of cement implant system of purulent focus washing is laid. Integrity of fibula is restored. Wound is sewn layer-by-layer.

EFFECT: method provides possibility of performing maximally sparing resection of affected bone, achievement of stable prolonged sanitising effect of bone wound, additional stability in the area of formed arthrodesis, reduction of treatment terms.
