FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used in surgical treatment of purulent osteoarthritis of ankle joint. Apparatus of external fixation is applied. Access to ankle joint is provided. Surgical processing of purulent-necrotic focus with necrosequestrectomy and resection of tibia and talus is performed. After surgical processing of purulent-necrotic focus, in zone of tibia and talus sawcuts cavity is formed. Sanitation of purulent-necrotic focus is performed in post-operation period by constant inflow-outflow drainage of formed cavity by means of perforated tube made from polychlorvinyl until 3-fold sterile bacteriologic inoculations of washing liquid are obtained. After that, perforated tube is removed. Sawcuts of tibia and talus are moved close to each other until tight contact. Their compression is performed.

EFFECT: method ensures elimination of possibility of purulent infection recurrence and development of ostemyelitis of talus and tibia.
