FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of iron-powder-based parts and can be used in fabrication of medium- and heavy-loaded structural parts operated at dynamic and cutting loads. Proposed method comprises preparing ion powder-based blend with addition of phosphorus in amount of up to 1 wt % in the form of ferrous phosphorus, cold static compaction to make porous workpiece, heating in shielding medium, hot forming and homogenising annealing. Additional 0.1-0.8 wt % of carbon are added to the blend. Pre-deformation heating of porous billets is conducted at temperature and time that ensure liquid phase formation. Hot forging is performed at reduced compaction work of 120-180 MJ/m3. Homogenising annealing is carried out at 710-730°C for 20-30 h for thermal treatment to be effected thereafter.
EFFECT: higher crack growth resistance, strength, resilience and wear resistance, lower power consumption.
