FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining of plastic articles. In compliance with proposed method, blank and cutting tool are displaced relative to each other for shaping purposes while feed is performed in discrete manner. Plastic article surface is processed by chemical reagents and mechanically by producing micro defects in the form of blind conical holes. Then, plastic article surface is machined by cutting tool. Surface processing by chemical reagents and machining are performed simultaneously on dipping rotating plastic blank in bath located on the zone of rotation.
EFFECT: higher processing efficiency and surface quality.
