SUBSTANCE: according to the method of lathe turning of work-piece of carbon-fiber composite, the work-piece and the cutting tool are imparted the relative motion of forming and the feeding is carried out discretely. In this case, the carbon-fiber composite work-piece is pretreated. Moreover, the pretreatment of the carbon-fiber composite workpiece is made by surface deformation by impact action of the ball. Subsequent lathe turning is performed at the depth of cutting, the value of which is equal to the depth of deformation extension along the cross-section of the workpiece.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of the work-piece turning and quality of the treated surface.
