SUBSTANCE: subharmonic parametric scatterer consists of a nonlinear element which includes a parametric generator, and an antenna system which includes a reflector, strip or slit antenna, the load of which is the parametric generator, tuned to half the frequency of the probing signal and consisting of an inductance in form of a closed or semi-closed resonator and a nonlinear capacitance. The first parametric generator is connected in series to a second parametric generator tuned to half the frequency of the probing signal and consisting of an inductance in form of a closed or semi-closed resonator and a nonlinear capacitance. Both parametric generators are the load of the second reflector, strip or slit antenna, which is tuned to the frequency of the probing signal, and the first reflector, strip or slit antenna is tuned to half the frequency of the probing signal.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the subharmonic parametric scatterer by providing better matching of the nonlinear element with the antenna system.
