FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a design of a nonlinear element of a subharmonic parametric scatterer, which is not a two-terminal element but a four-terminal element. As a result, the antenna system of the subharmonic parametric scatterer can be made in form of two antennae tuned to the frequency of the probing signal and the response signal at the subharmonic frequency of the probing signal, which, firstly, are more efficient compared to a broadband or dual-frequency antenna prototype and, secondly, can be better matched with corresponding outputs of the nonlinear element.
EFFECT: high efficiency due to better matching of the nonlinear element and the antenna system.
