FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: sound-absorbing structure comprises several porous layers or zones having different densities and accordingly different aerodynamic resistances. At the same time it is important that there are impedance variations on border surfaces between various porous layers. In addition an effect is used, which is known in physics as refraction. In the border layer between two materials with different density and accordingly with different aerodynamic resistance there are sharp impedance variations. It results in phase shift of a sonic wave, providing for the possibility of sound-absorbing effect.
EFFECT: provision of sound absorption in a wide frequency band, including low frequencies.
