SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial fisheries. The method includes collecting data on water temperature at the surface of the waters by fishing vessels and vessels that provide fishing. Temperature measurement is carried out at locations having a deviation from the average level of the surface area of not more than 5 cm and coinciding with zones of increased temperature gradients across. The results are processed in the form of recommendations to the actual and the predicted position of a favourable area for fishing, and the projected direction of movement of the cluster of fish is communicated to the fishing vessels.
EFFECT: invention improves the efficiency and reliability of the forecast.
