FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic concentration and can be used for separation of initial ores and products of gravity concentration in magnetic fluids. Proposed method comprises separation of materials with extraction of magnetic and nonmagnetic fractions, feed of magnetic fluid and nonmagnetic fraction to magnetic fluid separator separation zone, separation of material in pseudo-weighted magnetic fluid with extraction of separation products containing magnetic fluid. Besides, it includes extraction of magnetic fluid from separation products, treatment of extracted fluid in nonhomogeneous magnetic field and feed of it back into magnetic fluid separator. Extraction of magnetic fluid from separation products is effected in centrifugal field. Note here that extracted magnetic fluid is subjected to vibration in nonhomogeneous magnetic field. Product of field strength by field strength gradient equals or is greater then the product of strength by magnetic field separator magnetic field strength.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation and fluid homogeneity.
