SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to a method of magnetic separation of the ferromagnetic impurities may be used in oil producing industry, chemical industry, metallurgical industry and a number of other industries. The invention ensures an increased efficiency of the process of extraction of magnetic particles (separation) due to continuous self-purification of the settling components from the stuck particles, that in turn ensures the maximal force of attraction and holding of the particles on a pure surface at simultaneous simplification of the method and the design of the device. The invention ensures the maximal magnetic field gradient. The method provides for feeding of the separated medium into one or several tubular settling components made out of a magnetically inert material and installed in the separated medium, action on the medium by the heterogeneous magnetic field from the side of the source of magnetization located inside the settling component, settling of the magnetic particles and their relocation on the surface of the settling component under action of the magnetic field of the moving source of magnetization with their subsequent removal from the separated medium. The magnetic particles are settling on the surface of the settling component under action of a spiral-shaped source of magnetization and relocate them on the surface of the settling component along a guide due to rotation of the spiral-shaped source of magnetizations. In the capacity of the spiral-shaped source of magnetization use the point permanent magnets fixed along a spiral on a surface of the cylinder with the similar poles outside and the settling and relocation of the magnetic particles conduct on the surface of the vertically mounted settling component along the guide made, for example, in the form of a bead.

EFFECT: the invention ensures an increased efficiency of the process of extraction of magnetic particles, the maximal force of attraction and holding of the particles on a pure surface, simplification of the method and the design of the device.
