FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to landing gear wheels driving for equalising wheel peripheral velocity with aircraft speed before landing and for aircraft running. Landing gear every wheel is revolved by one of two counter rotation air turbines. Air from main engines or auxiliary power unit is forced via telescopic pipe secured at landing gear strut to landing gear header wherefrom it flows into two isolated wheel headers. Air is forced from every header via control valves in appropriate radial or axial turbine. One of said turbine spins up the wheels before landing and in forward running while another turbine reverses the wheels for braking after landing, in reverse motion and turns. Ejector with nozzle connected via pipe with control valve to landing gear air header is used to pump air via cooling system header connected to brake housing through stack of disk plate.
EFFECT: lower load at aircraft brakes, ruled out overheating of brakes.
