SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of silicates and production of glass, which can be used for to make dishware and articles for decorative and art purposes. The mixture for producing coloured glass contains soda, quartz sand, borax and calcined red mud, with the following ratio of components, wt %: soda - 7.0-11.0; quartz sand - 73.0-75.0; borax - 3.0-5.0; calcined red mud - 11.0-15.0.
EFFECT: high heat resistance of articles.
