SUBSTANCE: oak stave is preliminarily soaked in cold water during72-96 hours, maintained away from sunlight at a temperature of 28-30°C and humidity equal to 60-70% during 8-10 days; then one performs 20-30 minutes' long treatment with acute steam and sequential rinsing with hot and cold water and drying until the humidity is equal to 60% within well-aired premises at 45°C.
EFFECT: invention allows to ensure improvement of the organoleptic properties of the ready product, accelerate the process of oak wood ripening as well as improve labour conditions and reduce labour intensity.
