FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: socket unit includes base containing a base housing and two power bus lines supported by housing, as well as socket containing socket body and contacts for connection to each power bus line. Proposed unit is characterised by the fact that base and socket are mutually configured so that socket contacts can be connected to corresponding power bus lines at different orientations of socket relative to base. Besides, in each of the above orientations, base creates sufficient resistance to socket turn relative to base and sets the socket entry direction to base.

EFFECT: providing simpler and more reliable socket unit ensuring the connection of socket contacts to power bus lines, which, when in installation position, are extended in the place that is actually parallel to socket entry direction.
