FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: direct downconversion receiver has a radio-frequency (RF) input unit which performs amplification, downconversion and digitisation of a received signal to provide samples, a digital signal processor which processes the samples to provide output data, and a serial bus interface unit which outputs control signals to the RF input unit through a serial bus. The serial bus interface unit is configured to support a plurality of hardware request channels, wherein each hardware request channel is associated with a respective priority, each hardware request channel is sends messages via a plurality of possible data transfer modes, wherein the plurality of possible data transfer modes include a fast transfer mode and an interrupted transfer mode, and the interrupted transfer mode is used with one or more channels with relatively higher respective priorities.
EFFECT: in a direct downconversion receiver, use of a serial bus for control reduces the number of contacts, simplifies extension of the board with various analogue circuits and a controller, enables to support multiple transmission modes.
