FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to obstetrics. To select method of delivery in pregnant women with large fetus degree of alimentary-constitutional obesity (ACO), childbirth parity, presence of diabetes mellitus are estimated; circumference of abdomen and woman's height are measured, woman's age is found out, term of pregnancy and baby's sex are determined, each clinical sign being assessed in points. in case when ACO is absent, 0 points are given, in case of presence of I degree of ACO, 1 point is given, of II degree - 2 points, III degree - 3 points. First childbirth is assessed in 3 points, repeated childbirth - as 0 points. Presence of diabetes mellitus is assessed as 3 points, absence of diabetes mellitus - as 0 points. Circumference of abdomen 98-100 cm is assessed as 0 points, 101-103 cm - as 1 point, 104-106 cm - as 2 points, more than 107 cm - as 3 points. Woman's height more than 166 cm is assessed as 0 points, 163-166 cm - as 1 point, 159-162 cm - as 2 points, less than 159 cm - as 3 points. Woman's age 18-23 years points is assessed as 0 points, 24-29 years - as 1 point, 30-35 years - 2 points, more than 35 years - 3 points. Term of gestation 38 weeks is assessed as 0 points, 39 weeks - as 1 point, 40 weeks - as 2 points, 41 weeks - as 3 points. Male sex of fetus is assessed as 2 points, female sex of fetus - as 0 points. Obtained points are summed up and if the sum of points is less than 9, childbirth is performed through natural birth canal, and if the sum is 9 points and more points, delivery is carried out by Cesarean section operation.

EFFECT: method increases accuracy of delivery selection in pregnant women with large fetus due to analysis of the most significant clinical signs.
