SUBSTANCE: method comprises feeding the tube of packaging material along the axis, moving a pair of first and pair of second grips cyclically and alternately along the sealing paths parallel to the axis and along the moving paths, moving the first and second grips along the respective sealing paths to the closed position in which the sealing elements grip the tube and form, at different times, the first and second seams, sealing the tube and forming the opposite ends of the package and moving the first and second grips along the respective moving paths to an open position in which they are diverted from the tube. This method also comprises obtaining of a desired quantitative value of the weight of packing and forming a second seam at a distance, which is a function of the quantitative value of the first seam. The invention is also a packaging unit for producing sealed packages, designed to implement the method. The device has means for collecting data for obtaining the desired quantitative value of the package weight, the first and second actuating units for movement respectively of the first and the second grips parallel to axis and data processing means for generating, on the basis of the quantitative value, a first and a second control circuit controlling the first and the second actuating units. And the first and second control circuits are formed, in use, to accommodate the second sealing elements at the first distance depending on a quantitative value from the first sealing elements at least when the second sealing elements form a second seam. Computer readable means for the data processing device comprises of the packaging device comprises program product for implementation of the method.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides better weight control of the product at a lower cost.
