FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed engine comprises body with bottoms and solid-propellant charge secured therewith over outer surface and having at least one end uncoupled from said body, central through or dead channel equipped with propellant combustion surface compensator. Said propellant combustion surface compensator is composed of at least one annular slot arranged nearby front or rear bottom. Said annular slot is arranged at direct angle to engine lengthwise axis. Note here that slot vertex radius equals half the slot width facing the charge channel or slot vertex is inclined to engine lengthwise axis at angle smaller than right angle. Note here that slot vertex radius is larger than its half-width facing the charge channel. Slot geometry is formed by nonremovable forming element. Slot inclination angle and direction are selected to suit the required configuration of bottom-propellant system and required shape of "time-pressure" graph curve.
EFFECT: reduced mode of charge deformation and departure of its inner ballistic characteristics.
