SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalysis. Described is a procatalyst composition which contains a combination of a magnesium compound, a titanium compound and a multi-component internal electron donor which contains a silyl ester, an electron-donor component, where the silyl ester has structural formula , where R3-R6 are hydrogen, R1 and R2 are identical or different and each is selected from a group consisting of a hydrogen atom and a C1-6 alkyl group. Described is a catalyst composition which contains said composition and a cocatalyst and use thereof to produce olefin-based polymers.
EFFECT: obtained compositions are characterised by improved hydrogen response during olefin polymerisation and produce propylene-based polymers with broad molecular weight distribution, high flexural modulus and high melt flow rate.
