FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: described is a method for polymerisation of one or more olefins in a gas-phase reactor. The gas-phase reactor has a fluidised bed and a fluidised medium. The fluidised medium has an operating density and an operating speed. The method involves determining critical speed of gas and/or determining critical speed of gas for polymerisation. The operating density of the gas and/or operating speed of the gas for the fluidised medium is then controlled such that it is less than or equal to its corresponding critical value. Critical density of the gas for the fluidised medium is determined using the equation:
EFFECT: high polymer output owing to higher bulk density of the fluidised bed.
