SUBSTANCE: described is a procatalyst composition containing: a combination of a magnesium component, a titanium component and an internal electron donor containing a substituted 1,2 phenylene aromatic diester, having the structure (1), where R1-R14 are identical or different, each selected from a group comprising hydrogen, a substituted hydrocarbyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms, an unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms, a halogen, and combinations thereof, and at least one of R1-R14 is not hydrogen. Described is a method of producing an olefin-based polymer, involving: bringing an olefin into contact with said procatalyst composition and a cocatalyst under polymerisation conditions.
EFFECT: high activity of the catalyst composition.
