SUBSTANCE: compressor version 1 comprises a base, a cylinder group, a piston group, gas-coolers-and-oil-separators (18, 21, 24, 37, 29), suction and pressure valves. The cylinder group comprises cylinder rows placed on both sides of the base crankshaft. A cylinder of the first compression stage (8) is set in the first row, a cylinder of the second compression stage (8) is set in the second row. Each of the cylinders (8, 9) includes at least one gas intake and at least one gas outlet. The gas-cooler-and-oil-separator of the first stage (18) is placed above the first stage cylinder (8) and the second stage cylinder (9). The compressor is produced as a five-stage one and comprises one cylinder in each of the first, second, third and fourth compression stages and two cylinders in the fifth compression stage. The third compression stage cylinder (10) and the first cylinder of the fifth compression stage (12) are set in the third row, the fourth compression stage cylinder (25) and the second cylinder of the fifth compression stage (13) are set in the fourth row. The gas-cooler-and-oil-separator of the third stage (24) is placed above the third compression stage cylinder (10) and the fourth compression stage cylinder (11). The gas-cooler-and-oil-separator of the second stage (21) and the gas-cooler-and-oil-separator of the fifth stage (29) are placed above the gas-cooler-and-oil-separator of the first stage (18) and the gas-cooler-and-oil-separator of the third stage (24). Gas intake (27) of the first cylinder of the fifth stage (12) is placed in the upper part of the cylinder (12) and the gas outlet (28) is set on the side at right angle to the gas intake (27). Gas intake (30) of the second cylinder of the fifth stage (13) is placed in the upper part of the said cylinder (13) and the gas outlet (31) is set on the side at right angle to the gas intake (3). The compressor version 2 comprises a base, a cylinder group, a piston group, gas-coolers-and-oil-separators (18, 21, 24, 37, 29), suction and pressure valves. The cylinder group comprises cylinder rows placed on both sides of the base crankshaft. A cylinder of the first compression stage (8) is set in the first row, a cylinder of the second compression stage (8) is set in the second row. The compressor is produced as a six-stage one and comprises one cylinder in each compression stage. The gas-cooler-and-oil-separator of the second stage (21) and the gas-coolers-and-oil-separators of the fifth stage (29) are placed above the gas-cooler-and-oil-separator of the first stage (18) and the gas-cooler-and-oil-separator of the third stage (24). The gas-cooler-and-oil-separator of the third stage (24) is placed above the third stage cylinder (10) and the fourth stage cylinder (11). Gas intake (27) of the fifth stage cylinder (12) is placed in the upper part of the said cylinder (12) and the gas outlet (28) is set on the side at right angle to the gas intake (27). Gas intake (30) of the sixth stage cylinder (13) is placed in the upper part of the said cylinder (13). The gas outlet (31) is set on the side at right angle to the gas intake (30).

EFFECT: keeping minimal compressor dimensions along with keeping ease of installation and maintenance.
