FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: the technical solution relates to mechanical engineering, namely to compressor equipment for nitrogen production. The overall dimensions of the multistage compressor and, consequently, the nitrogen station are reduced. The nitrogen compressor station contains a multistage opposed compressor equipped with at least one upper stage valve body containing a central blind hole with a variable diameter, made with the possibility of installation on the cylinder liner of a reciprocating compressor, and two valve blind holes with a variable diameter, made with the possibility of placing suction or discharge valves in them. The central opening communicates with the valve openings. The axes of the valve openings are located at right angles to the axis of the central opening.
EFFECT: reducing the overall size of the compressor makes it possible to further simplify the installation and maintenance of the compressor due to increased gaps between the structural elements of the compressor and the side walls of the nitrogen station shelter.
