FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method involves the following steps: (a) temperature and pressure of multicomponent mixture is determined; (b) relative content of components of the multicomponent mixture is determined based on at least two measured physical characteristics of the multicomponent mixture and knowledge of the same physical characteristic of individual components of the multicomponent mixture; (c) multicomponent mixture velocity is determined; and (d) flow rate of the individual fluid medium component is determined based on the results obtained after completion of steps (a)-(c). The method is characterised by the fact that it involves determination of physical characteristics of at least one of the components of the multicomponent mixture, which provides for performance of the following steps: e) measurement of electromagnetic losses of phase is made; f) a statistical parameter related to the above electromagnetic measurement is calculated; g) the above statistical parameter is compared to a threshold value obtained by means of empirical way and corresponding to the value of statistical parameter for the situation when there is only one component of the multicomponent mixture, and h) the above physical characteristics of fluid medium are determined if statistical parameter is lower than threshold value for the above component, and the data obtained at steps (b)-(d) is used for determination of corrected values for fractions, velocity and flow rate of individual components of the multicomponent mixture.
EFFECT: improvement of measurement accuracy, and provision of stability in relation to uncertainty of configured parametres.
