SUBSTANCE: essence of the invention consists in implementation of shell blasting on the movement trajectory and formation of the shell fragmentation field, determination of the number of shell fragments based on an analysis of the number of series actuations of sensitive elements of lines of photoreceivers, determination of movement coordinates of shell fragments based on information on spatial positions of actuated sensitive elements of lines of photoreceivers, determination of movement speeds of shell fragments, determination of geometrical sizes of shell fragments in the form of the following expressions: lxi=ni, lyj=nj, lzi=nk, where ni, nj, nz - numbers of simultaneously actuated elements in three planes, i, j, k - linear dimensions of sensitive elements of lines of photoreceivers in three planes, determination of mass of fragments in the form of the following expression: mi=ρ*(ni*nj*nk), where ρ - density of shell housing material, determination of coordinates Xi, Yi, Zi, of movement vectors of shell fragments in the form of the following expression: Xi=x1i-x2i, Yi=y1i-y2i, Zi=z1i-z2i; angles of fragments approach to the target are determined in the form of the following expressions: performing the record of the obtained data to the memory unit, transfer of data via line of non-contact communication to micro PC; determination of law of fragment distribution as to direction, speed and mass based on experimental data. Besides, a device implementing the above method is proposed.
