SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a device for foaming a liquid such as milk. The foam production device contains a means .that is designed so that to implement a pump function and the process of blending of at least one liquid and gas simultaneously. Additionally, the device contains a suitable means to supply liquid and gas to the pump means and a suitable means for ejection of foam from the pump means. For the device to be capable of hot foam production, a steam supply means is presented that is positioned so that to supply steam directly to the pump means, in particular - to the pump means outlet hole side. This way of imparting heating functionality to the pump means has multiple advantages inclusive of the possibility of most space-efficient design. Additionally, steam can be used for cleaning the pump means.

EFFECT: provision for a device for foaming liquid such as milk; the device may contain a mechanical pump designed so that to enable switching between the foamed liquid heating process and the process of foamed liquid left in cold state; the device has improved cleanability.
