SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to equipment for physiological parameter determination. The device comprises a patient's blood variable sensor, a time curve memory, assessment tools for curve average and relevant physiological parameter determination. The assessment tools are additionally presented to measure a curve spectral density S(ω) and blood variable dispersion and a model parameter representing an effective cardiac contraction using the average value and the spectral density S(ω) and dispersion. In the method for determination using the device, the effective value is specified in the effective cardiac contraction amplitude Aeff, effective cardiac contraction duration deff and effective cardiac contraction area Feff. The physiological parameter is determined using the model parameter. The physical storage carrier comprises a stored computer program for implementing the method.
EFFECT: using the invention enables determining the patient's physiological parameter in keeping with distortions caused by arrhythmia or arterial branch distortions.
