FIELD: fire prevention facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a fire-extinguishing system. The fire extinguishing system comprising a source of high pressure inert gas which is configured to generate the first inert gas output, a source of low pressure inert gas which is configured to generate the second inert gas output, a distribution network connected to sources of inert gas of low and high pressure, for gas distribution from outlets of first and second inert gas throughout the limited spatial area, and the volume reduction system located inside the limited spatial area, and containing a sealing element made with the ability of selective activation by its transmitting between the first position and the second position for isolation of the first volume of the limited spatial area from its second volume and decreasing the amount of gas from the outputs of first inert gas and second inert gas, which is required to respond to a fire threat in a limited spatial area.
EFFECT: improvement of the efficiency of fire-fighting.
