FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method for automatic control of a burning process in a thermal unit, comprising for all loads with the help of sensors of fuel and air flow measurement, gas analysers to measure concentration of nitrogen and carbon oxides in smoke gases released into atmosphere, definition of total permissible conventional toxicity of emissions, definition of the difference in exceeding conventional toxicity of emissions above its permissible normative value and using this difference as a correction signal. In this method with the help of an additional sensor they measure flow of water in the form of liquid or steam, with the help of an additional gas analyser they measure concentration of oxygen in smoke gases released into atmosphere, using an additional device they calculate concentration of benz(a)pyrene and define the total permissible conventional toxicity of emissions with account of effect of the above parameters.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce total toxicity of emissions into atmosphere in the form of pollutants in released smoke gases.
