SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. The proposed ear tag for animals comprises a base 1, a bearing locking unit 2 made in the form of spring-elastic lobes interacting with locking means 5 located on the ear piercing tool 6 with a sharp end 7 placed on upper part 8 of the tag, which is movably connected to the base 1, and a means of protection against unauthorised access to the locking unit 2 in the closed state of the tag. The base 1 and the upper part 8 are made integrally in the form of a thin spring-elastic plate with the locking unit 2 and the piercing tool 6 placed at its opposite ends respectively. The movable connection of the base 1 with the upper part 8 is provided through the resilient properties of the plate material. The spring-elastic lobes are formed by a flange at the base of the plate body. The inlet retaining of the locking unit 2 is made in size smaller than the diameter of the piercing tool 6. The piercing tool 6 is made in the form of a round rod with a head 10 and a groove in the upper part and a neck in the middle part serving as a fixing means 5 in the closed state of the tag. The round rod with the piercing tool 6 is mounted in a hole made in the upper part 8 of the tag, and secured by a thrust quick-detachable washer 14 interacting with the groove, and the head 10 covering the body of the upper part 8 of the tag.

EFFECT: invention provides simplification of the design and increase in reliability of locking.
