FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio engineering and can be used in constructing systems for remote radio frequency identification of animals, in particular, large and small cattle, namely, relates to a radio frequency passive ear tag. Radio frequency animal ear tag includes a first element consisting of a base coupled with a rod with a pointed tip, and a second element consisting of a base and a lock chamber linked therewith, through which a through hole for accommodating the pointed rod of the first element therein passes. The radio frequency tag also comprises an identifier consisting of a core and a radio frequency UHF tag made on a film basis and provided with an antenna, a reflector, and a UHF (ultra-high frequency) chip, the contacts whereof are connected with the antenna. The antenna is therein secured on one side of the core, and the reflector is secured on a second side thereof. Provided inside the lock chamber therein are fastening elements of the pointed tip for retention thereof inside the lock chamber, the core is made of a radio-transparent material, and the identifier is configured to be positioned in the first or second element of the tag so that the reflector is located closer to the body or body part of the animal when secured thereon.

EFFECT: possibility of simultaneously reading data from multiple tags from a group of animals at high speed, as well as strong fixation of the tag on the animal, increase in the reading range, and reliability of operation of the apparatus secured on an ear or other body parts of the animal.
