SUBSTANCE: animal tag has pin portion including vertical protrusion adapted for insertion through animal's ear, and receptacle portion equipped with device for engagement with said protrusion. Engagement device has cavity substantially closed at its outer end and insert arranged within cavity and formed as integral part made from the same material or material softer than material defining cavity. Integral part is expanded, when head is inserted therein, for enabling passage thereof, and then compressed around head after introduction thereof and engaged rearward thereof to resist withdrawal therefrom. On usage, cavity and insert are engaged in blocking manner. Head of said protrusion has beveled or cut-off edge, which defines cutting edge of head.
EFFECT: provision for repeated utilization of animal tag.
