FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for accurate orientation of strip edge and can be used in transfer with tension of moving thin metal strip in its rolling, cutting, heat treatment, coating, coiling, etc. Proposed device comprises bed and idle roller secured at rotary rocker installed at said bed to turn ion the plane inclined to strip motion plane. Self-alignment of edge is ensured by mounting guide disc on one side of idle roller at spherical bearing. Note here that said roller is turned in the strip motion plane so that its side whereat guide disc is secured is shifted towards direction of motion.

EFFECT: self-aligned preset direction of strip edge.
