FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to decoration of substrate with powder coating. Proposed method comprises the following steps, i.e. (a) substrate surface processing, (b) application of powder coating on said processed surface and hardening it, and (c) application of decoration carrier on hardened powder coating and transfer of decoration on substrate open surface by heating. Note here that powder coat composition is used that contains (A) 30-80 wt % of the mix of at least one polyether resin A with hydroxyl number of 30-60 mg KOH/g, average molecular weight Mn of 3100-5000 and glass transition temperature Tg of 40-60°C, and at least one polyether resin B with hydroxyl number of 250-350 mg KOH/g, average molecular weight Mn of 2000-3000, (B) 10-40 wt % of at least one hardener selected from the group consisting of diisocyanates, polyisocyanates and uretdiones, and (C) 0.01-40 wt % of at least one additive for coating, pigment and/or filler wherein wt % is calculated relative to composition total weight. Note here that decoration transfer is carried out at 160°C to 220°C.
EFFECT: longer life, higher resistance to whatever ambient chemical effects.
