FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises the following steps: applying electrodes in a working area in form of an array of small cells; all stations for measuring two components (Ex, Ey) of the electric field record synchronously and with the same settings data time series of the natural electromagnetic field. Recorded data are processed to eliminate interference and obtain interference-free data. For the peripheral and central points, the same component from two adjacent points is added to the value for said point in order to calculate the average value of time-varying characteristics of the electric field for all observation points. For corner points, when calculating the average value, the adjacent components taken are the like components of the electric field for two points located on the direction of the cell, wherein components of the electric field obtained at maximum distance are taken as new values of the electric field. Processing observation data at previous steps yields new data time series in which noise and the galvanic effect are eliminated, and said data are processed using a known technique for calculating apparent resistance and phase curves.
EFFECT: high accuracy and reliability.
