FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention discloses an olefin oxidation method, which includes a step of successively passing a reaction feed stream under oxidation conditions C2-C16 α-olefin through layers of catalyst selected from titanium silicalites, from No. 1 to No. n, where n is integer from 2 to 50. According to the invention, if the apparent speed of each of the reaction materials passing through the catalyst beds No. 1 to No. n, respectively, is denoted by v1 - vn, and if m is any integer in range [2, n], then following relations are satisfied vm-1<vm and Am-1/Am>1. Present invention further discloses a reaction device with a fixed bed and an olefin oxidation system.
EFFECT: method according to the present invention is able to prolong the catalyst service life, in particular, its single service life, suppressing at the same time any side reactions for a long period of time.
