FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: on the drifting ice floe there is an MTZ data recording station. Magneto telluric field measurements are made at each particular frequency, referenced to the corresponding point on the profile, the coordinates of which change due to the ice floe drift. The indicated coordinates are fixed for each measurement, the MTZ, AMTZ data and responses to sharp changes in the magneto telluric field are recorded, the obtained data set is used to restore the distribution of the geological environment electrical conductivity and make a prediction about the presence or absence of the desired objects associated with minerals in the study area.

EFFECT: creation of a method for marine geophysical exploration by magneto telluric field measurement during operations in the polar regions on drifting ice surface, obtaining reliable geophysical information on the structure beneath the seabed, ensuring depth studies to 10,000 m.
