SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing a copolymer, which includes a step of polymerising a conjugated diene and an unconjugated olefin, different from the conjugated diene, in the presence of a polymerisation catalyst composition which contains a group consisting of a metallocene complex of general formula (I), where M is lanthanide, scandium or yttrium, CpR is independently unsubstituted or substituted indenyl, Ra-Rf independently denote an alkyl group with 1-3 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom, L is a neutral Lewis base and w is an integer equal to 0-3, wherein during polymerisation of the conjugated diene with the unconjugated olefin, pressure of the unconjugated olefin ranges from 0.4 MPa to 10 MPa.
EFFECT: obtaining a conjugated diene and unconjugated olefin copolymer different from the conjugated diene, with high content of cis-1,4 bonds in the conjugated diene part.
