DEVICE FOR MONITORING AND SIGNALLING ABOUT ELECTRIC MAINS STATUS Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC G01R11/25

Abstract RU 2501024 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to the area of electrical measurement instruments, monitoring and signalling about status of three-phase electric mains, and namely to multifunctional and multirate meters of electric energy consumption purposed for on-line control of electric parameters, technical and fiscal metering of consumed electricity when external display in installed, power and status of electrical mains in power supply systems at power-generating installations with possibility of data transfer through the radio channel. Eclectic mains status monitoring and signalling device contains terminal block connecting power supply unit and current and voltage sensors block with supply mains, microcontroller connected through analogue-to-digital converter to current and voltage sensors block to RS-485 interface, optical port, backup power source for current time clock built-in into microcontroller and power supply unit. At that the following equipment is connected to microcontroller: operational LED indicator, radio unit connected to power supply unit and maintaining without limitation GSM, CDMA and IEE 802.11 data transfer standards, non-volatile memory having additional memory register containing geographical coordinates and on-line name of the device installation site. At that failure-free operation of the device is ensured by backup power supply unit (accumulator battery that can be replaced) interconnected with microcontroller and radio unit.

EFFECT: development of a cheap device capable of metering active and reactive power, on-line tracing operation modes of the electric mains and in case of their deviation from preset values signalling and specifying geographic coordinates of the device; development of device that is capable to signal failures in electric mains through radio channel and to specify geographic coordinates of emergency in case of voltage non-availability.
